SWOPT in the News"Workers Compensation" may be a term that many are familiar with but you don't truly understand everything about it until you are injured on the job. People that are injured on the job in Albuquerque, New Mexico may be familiar with their companies' workers compensation company and their assigned adjuster, but many may not know about the Workers' Compensation Association of New Mexico. This group of people makes the work of a provider and adjusters a lot easier which in turn helps any injured worker. On May 11, 2011, the association began their annual conference and for SWOPT, it was the place to be.

SWOPT was featured as an exhibitor at the conference and we took advantage of the sports theme and decorated our booth as a hockey goal. The booth even featured a mock hockey player, Wii Hockey available to play and our famous popcorn machine. Every year there is a competition for best booth and this year, SWOPT won the grand prize. The 30th Annual WCA Conference ran from May 11th to May 13th and the theme was "Gaining the Winning Edge". The conference offers its attendees an opportunity to attend workshops that can help teach and give a good insight to the latest news the effects workers' compensation. There are also many guest speakers and a few special surprises. This year the key note speaker was Rudy Ruddier, former college football player and the inspiration behind the movie, "Rudy". A special treat this year was also an appearance by Brian Urlacher.

SWOPT is always very proud to be involved with the Workers' Compensation Association of New Mexico and more importantly we are proud to accept workers' compensation patients and help them to recover from their work injury. We understand that on the job injuries are very complicated and sometimes can cause much stress in the injured worker's life. We truly enjoy helping injuried workers and the conference was a wonderful place for us to speak to adjustors about how we can help their workers.Ou Flyer
