Pat's Amazing Jour-knee (Knee Replacement Surgery)

Posted by Pat O'Hea on Jan 27, 2011 7:35:00 PM

Hello! Hello...Mr. Patrick We are all done. Your surgery went very well.

I know that all of this was said in plain english but it sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher. "whaa wh wha wha...wa wa wa wah". I looked down at my knees and they had me packed in ice like like a fish market. Not too much knee pain- but my back hurts. I mean like someone hit me with a bat. I fade in and out and barely notice people scurrying about. adding a tube here and a machine there and pretty soon I looked like Steve Austin becoming the Bionic Man. Wow that would be cool--Bionic Legs. I think they have me on morphine...Yep definitely morphine. I think I'll go talk to this unicorn I keep seeing in here for a minute...knee PT unicorn

"Hey there pat." This time the voice came rom a lower voice. "you did great! Everything went well and you should be very successful". It is my Dr., Dr. Junick Orthopaedic Surgeon. Probably one of the best in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"Do you have any questions Pat?" I blink my eyes and mutter something like "no". Although I have tons of questions but that darn unicorn keeps annoying me. Maybe I'll just sleep.

But they'll have nothing of it. "How are you feeling? Do you want some ice chips? I need to get some blood". I swear when I get to heaven the first thing they are going to give me is ice chips. "Ice chips please" ahhhhh nice and cold and wet. time to sleep.
